Tizyo is the Managing Partner of TMB Advocates, specializing in complex corporate and commercial transactions. She is renowned for her pragmatic and commercially driven approach, helping clients achieve optimal outcomes in banking, financial services, construction, infrastructure, energy, mining, real estate, trade, commerce, and telecommunications. Her expertise bridges legal compliance and commercial success.

She has advised on high-profile transactions in Zambia, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and intricate deal structuring. Tizyo has extensive experience in cross-border transactions, equity funding, venture capital, corporate governance, restructuring, insolvency, tax, data protection, and intellectual property. She has played a pivotal role in facilitating partnerships, acquisitions, and legal negotiations.

Beyond transactional work, Tizyo is a skilled advocate in high-stakes negotiations, litigation, mediation, and arbitration, delivering favorable outcomes through strategic settlements or court verdicts. She gained international experience through the International Lawyers for Africa (ILFA) program, training at leading firms such as Pinsent Masons, Hardwicke Chambers, Clifford Chance, Baker McKenzie, and Norton Rose Fulbright. She also trained in International Public Law at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

As Convenor of the Law Reform and Constitutional Affairs Committee of the Law Association of Zambia, Tizyo has influenced regulatory reforms and was named one of Zambia’s most influential female law firm founders by Courtroom Mail in 2021. She is committed to diversity and the empowerment of women in the legal profession.

Tizyo has represented clients in arbitration and litigation against entities such as Rio Tinto, Anglo Exploration, and the Zambian government, demonstrating her expertise in complex legal matters and international arbitration.
